Tasting note: This American-owned estate has been on a qualitative roll for over a
decade and the 2010 should rival their 2005 and 2009 as one of the
finest wines La Vieille Cure has made. The dense plum/ruby/purple-tinged
2010 exhibits beautiful notes of kirsch liqueur, black currants,
licorice and forest floor. Lovely texture and purity, medium to full
body and superb fruit intensity result in a gorgeous wine that will be
accessible early, but capable of lasting 10-15 years.
(91-93pts. Robert Parker)
Tasted: May 2011
Score: 91-93
Drink: 2013-26
Tasting note: La Vieille Cure Opaque in color, black licorice, dark chocolate, oak,
jammy berries and sweet black cherry flavors are coupled with a big
blast of concentrated, sweet jammy berries. This is the best wine
produced by La Vieille Cure since the 2005.
(90-93pts. Jeff Leve, Thewinecellarinsider.com)

Tasting note: Light, with friendly cassis and cherry fruit kissed with a hint of toasty vanilla. The finish is soft and rounded.

Tasting note:
My best score to this estate en primeur. A true success! Beautiful deep red. Warm, fruity, smoky on the nose. The most enticing, the pulpiest and the most aromatic palate I've known for the estate. Above all, it ends on elegant tannins. Good length. (87-88pts. Jean-Marc Quarin)
