Tasting note: 2010: A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2010 achieved in excess of 14% natural alcohol. It exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with a pronounced nose of underbrush, cedarwood, licorice and black currants. This attractive, elegant, mid-weight Pauillac should be drinkable early in life and last for 15+ years. (89-92pts. Robert Parker)

Tasted: May 2011
Score: 89-92
Drink: 2013-26

Tasting note: Very strong and muscular d’Armailhac with mineral and currant character. Full, linear and toned. Very racy and long. Plenty of finesse too. It’s 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. (92-93pts. James Suckling)

Tasted: Apr. 2011
Score: 92-93
Drink: N/A

Tasting note: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot produced a wine that opens with cedar, 5 spice, gravel and cassis scents. Filled with chocolate covered blackberries and sweet cassis, this wine offers depth and purity of flavor. This is the second strong vintage in a row for this Pauillac. (92-94pts. Jeff Leve, Thewinecellarinsider.com)

Tasted: Apr. 2011
Score: 92-94
Drink: N/A

Tasting note: This has a nice briary core, showing dark fig and plum flavors, with a backdrop of roasted sage and tobacco. Offers good muscle and heft, but also the rounded feel of the house style. Tasted non-blind. (92-95pts. JM, Wine Spectator)

Tasted: Mar. 2011
Score: 92-95
Drink: N/A

Tasting note: One of the most refined D'Armailhac I know. Savoury, fresh and crammed with flavours on the palate. Precise and well-coated tannins. Good length. (88-89pts. Jean-Marc Quarin)
