Tasting note: Like the Taillepieds, this is also highly perfumed with rose petal, fresh red berries, wet stone and an earthy component that can also be found on the equally mineral-inflected, cool and pure flavors that evidence excellent detail and real verve on the delicious, intense and persistent finish. A lovely and understated Pommard of finesse. (SWEET SPOT OUTSTANDING) (91-93pts AM, Burghound)

Tasted: May 6, 2011
Score: 91-93
Drink: 2019+

Tasting note: Good bright, full red. Pungent, expressive aromas of cherry, blackberry, cassis, licorice and white flowers; offers lovely perfume for the year. Dense, clean and juicy, with the intense fruit flavors framed and enlivened by crushed stone and floral notes. Finishes long and aromatic, with suave tannins and a note of spicy oak. This should be excellent. (91-93pts ST, International Wine Cellar)

Tasting note: The 2009 Pommard Les Pezerolles opens with an expressive bouquet that leads to layers of beautifully delineated fruit. This is deceptive in its mid-weight structure as there appears to be plenty of substance on the glass. The elegant, precise finish rounds things out nicely. The Pezerolles was made from 100% destemmed fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (90-92pts AG, Wine Advocate)
