Tasting note: Consistently a good value pick among shrewd consumers, this wine, from one of the estates Alain Vauthier owns in St.-Emilion beside the famous Ausone, has a dark purple color, a big, sweet kiss of black currants, raspberries, crushed rock, and floral notes. It is medium to full-bodied, displays good, sweet tannin, and comes across as slightly unevolved and may have just finished malolactic fermentation. I am not so sure it is as strong as his 2005, but this wine is very promising nevertheless. (88-90pts. Robert Parker)

Tasted: Apr. 2010
Score: 88-90
Drink: N/A

Tasting note: Showing an intense dark color with a fruity, fresh and ripe color, this wine performs lovely, melting and pulpy on entry, then evolves aromatic, tasty and with finer tannins than usual. Of medium and tasty length on finish. (88pts. Jean-Marc Quarin)

Tasted: Mar. 2010
Score: 87-88

Tasting note: Offers blueberry and mineral on the nose. Full-bodied, with a tight tannin structure and juicy fruit. Bright acidity. Very lively. (90-93pts. JS, Wine Spectator)
