Tasting note: There have been many great Glorias over the years as this property consistently over-performs. The 2009 may be the finest yet produced. Loaded with notes of Christmas fruitcake intermixed with red and black currants, licorice, spice box, and blackberries, this inky/purple-colored wine is atypically full-bodied with a viscous texture, and loads of tannin, extract, and richness. Deep and layered, it will offer thrilling sipping over the next 25+ years. (91-93pts. Robert Parker)

Tasted: Apr. 2010
Score: 91-93
Drink: 2010-35

Tasting note: Since 2005 this wine has reached a high standard of quality. The blend is 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. The color is dark, intense, beautiful. The nose has aromatic notes of ripe, fresh fruit, without being really black fruit. Entry into the mouth is smooth, the wine develops moderately aromatic with a structured body. It becomes more flavorful at the finish and finishes with good length, and tannin much better hidden and finer than before. It is a success. (88-89pts. Jean-Marc Quarin)

Tasting note: Crushed blackberries and fresh herbs on the nose. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, rich finish. Solid core of everything here. Right up there with the 2005. (90-93pts. JS, Wine Spectator)
