Tasting note: This is the finest Giscours I have tasted in my professional career. Succulent and sexy with an inky/purple color, it offers sweet aromas of subtle barbecue smoke, graphite, blackberries, blueberries, and spring flowers. The tannins are remarkably sweet, substantial, and well-integrated, and the wine is full-bodied as well as voluptuously textured. It is a head-turning, exuberant, flashy effort that should drink well for 20-25 years. Bravo! (91-93pts. Robert Parker)
Tasted: Apr. 2010
Score: 91-93
Drink: 2010-35
Tasting note: Dark, intense color. Fruity nose but less pure than Du Tertre. Nice rounded entry into the mouth and the wine develops smooth with normal fullness, but the tannins are a bit firm at the end, which makes it an austere Margaux. (89pts. Jean-Marc Quarin)
Tasted: Mar. 2010
Score: 89
Drink: N/A
Tasting note: Subtle and pretty on the nose, with blueberry, blackberry and hints of flowers. Full and very fine, showing a beautiful texture of polished tannins. Wonderfully long and balanced. (92-95pts. JS, Wine Spectator)
