Tasting note: Good deep red-ruby. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, mint and a whiff of game on the nose. Then bright and nervy in the mouth, with enticing floral lift to the black cherry and licorice flavors. Not a particularly creamy or fleshy style but suave, intense and light on its feet. Really dusts the palate with flavor on the very long aftertaste. An elegantly styled Gevrey that shows the cooling influence of the Combe de Lavaut. (90-92pts. Stephen Tanzer)

Tasting note:
A notably ripe nose features pretty and curiously cool aromas that speak of earth, the sauvage, cassis, floral and plum aromas that introduce velvety and mouth coating middle weight flavors that are generous yet somehow manage to remain admirably precise on the tension-filled, complex and balanced finish. This harmonious effort is quite serious and will require at least 10 to 12 years to reach its apogee. (92pts AM, Burghound)
