Tasting note: This is the new name of the wine formerly known as Laville Haut Brion, which was the white wine made by La Mission Haut Brion. Now, this is more simple! Showing a yellow green color with a fine, fruity and pure nose of white fruits, this wine offers both a licorice and anis character, with a hint of lemon and lime-tree. Wide on entry, the wine then starts melting, performing with taste and a slightly low tension. It finishes flavorful, evoking the Semillon expression from Sauternes. This is very good even if not very vivid and it delivers a lovely persistence over a touch of tangerine. It is made from a blend of 84% sémillon and 16 % sauvignon. n order to prevent premature oxidation, this wine will be bottled before summer, which I find a wise move. (90pts. Jean-marc Quarin)
