Tasting note: I don’t think anyone could possibly rate this higher than the 2005, which is certainly the greatest wine made at this estate since 1982. However, this is another blockbuster, gorgeously aromatic, with notes of subtle oak interwoven with perfumed black, blue, and red fruits. Its opaque purple color, the gorgeous elegance allied to compelling intensity of flavor, and its full-bodied opulence make for the quintessential expression of this terroir. This is beauty that will be relatively approachable in 3-4 years and evolve for 20 or more years. (Tasted three times.) (94-96pts Robert Parker)

Tasting note: My best rating ever given to this wine during futures campaigns. Showing a lovely intense dark red color with a pure and very fruity nose this is a pulpy wine on entry, developing delicate, then fat on the mid-palate with vigor. Very flavorful, it reveals itself slowly and finishes strongly on flavorful, coated and very aromatic tannins. Very good length. Little by little, this estate has been gaining flesh over the vintages. It gains in both distinction and depth, while keeping its discreet expression. Clearly, I feel that the attention of the management is focused on the long term. For information, the harvests took place early, starting September 17 for the Merlot, and October 2 for the Cabernet. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot. Alcohol content: 13.9%, pH 3,8, IPT 74, whereas, in a normal year, this estate has a tannic concentration (IPT) around 50-55! 2009 is the greatest vintage for this estate. (90pts Jean-Marc Quarin)

Tasting note: Floral and precise fruit, with blackberry-skin character and mineral undertones. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Long and tight. Racy. Lovely texture. 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 percent Merlot and 15 percent Petit Verdot. This property is really on a roll now, delivering racy and structured reds; it gives much more freshness and character to the wine. (93-96pts JS, Wine Spectator)
