Tasting note: Deep, slightly hazy yellow. Vibrant aromas of orange rind, dried lemon, crushed stone and floral oils. Round, sweet and lush but with a firm spine of acidity providing shape. The wine's sexy sweetness and fruit intensity are nicely counterpointed by a saline minerality. More opulent than the Lauren but perhaps not quite as gripping on the finish. (93pts. Stephen Tanzer)

Tasting note: The 2008 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard (30+ year old old Wente clones) exhibits a beautiful green-ish hue to its color in addition to a stunning bouquet of orange blossoms, creme brulee, lemon custard, and citrus oil. Additionally, it has terrific acidity, fabulous concentration, and a full-bodied mouthfeel with unbelievable freshness and length. (93-95+pts. Robert Parker)
