Tasting note: Rich and full-bodied, with ripe layers of fig, apricot and melon shaded by toasty, smoky roasted marshmallow flavors that are intense, vibrant and lively with acidity. Long and persistent on the finish. (97pts. JL, Wine Spectator)
Tasted: Jun. 30, 2010
Score: 97
Drink: Now-2014
Tasting note: Pale, green-tinged yellow. Reticent but pure aromas of crushed stone, flowers and herbal tea. Broad, classically dry and powerful, with primary fruit flavors currently overshadowed by soil-driven minerality. This is chewy-verging-on-thick and seems the least expressive of this set of chardonnays today. (93pts. Stephen Tanzer)
Tasted: May 2010

Tasting note: Speaking of liquid stones, the 2008 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard (planted with a suitcase clone that came from Burgundy’s most famous Chardonnay vineyard) is utterly profound. Waxy honeysuckle notes intermixed with quince, white currants, crushed rocks, flowers, and hints of almond paste and creme brulee are followed by a full-bodied wine displaying dazzling acid levels as well as remarkable concentration and precision. It is one of those Chardonnays that must be tasted to be believed. (98-100pts. Robert Parker)
