Wine Name: DuMOL Pinot Noir
Vineyard:
Designation: aidan
Appellation: Russian River Valley
Producer: DuMOL
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Type: Red
Country: USA

Sub-Region: Sonoma County
Tasting note: Bright ruby-red. An intensely perfumed
bouquet displays black raspberry, star anise, potpourri and minerals.
Lively but concentrated red and dark berry flavors are given spine by
juicy acidity and gain sweetness in the middle palate. The spicy quality
returns on the sharply focused, strikingly pure finish. This wine's
nuanced fruit is really impressive. This finished with a low pH of 3.38
and 7 g/l of acidity. (93 pts. Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer's IWC)
Tasted: May/June 2010
Score: 93
Tasting note: The dense 2007 Pinot Noir Aidan (400 cases produced) comes from the Wild
Rose Vineyard, which is planted with Dijon clones 115 and 777. It
reveals a dark ruby/purple color, good acidity, a tight but promising
bouquet of sassafras, sweet black cherry, raspberry, and plum fruit,
earthy undertones, and subtle wood smoke. It possesses significant
structure as well as aging potential. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age,
and drink it over the following two decades. (92+ pts. Robert Parker)
Tasted: February 2010
Score: 93
Drink: 2011-2032
Tasting note: Firm, intense, fresh and vibrant, with a minerally baseline to the ripe
cherry, blackberry, sage and cedar notes. Full-bodied and firm, this is
in need of aeration. The finish impresses with a long, persistent push
of concentrated flavors. Drink now through 2016. 380 cases made.(92 pts. JL, Wine Spectator)
