Tasting note: A high-toned nose of freshly cut and ripe pear, green fruit is followed by elegant, pure and impressively refined stony flavors that are chiseled and precise while culminating in a driving, intense and focused finish of Zen-like harmony. This is lovely and a classic Perrières. (92pts. Allen Meadows aka The Burghound)
Tasted: Jan. 01, 2008
Score: 92
Drink: 2011+
Tasting note: Stony nose shows a steely reserve. Then sweet and rich in the mouth, with terrific intensity to its peach, spice and powdered stone flavors. Finishes with building sweetness. Very impressive wine, even if it shows the vintage more obviously than does the Puligny Garenne. (92pts. Steven Tanzer)
