QUANTITY AVAILABLE: 2

Vintage: 2006
Format: 750ml
Wine Name: Gevrey-Chambertin
Vineyard: Aux Combottes
Designation: 1er Cru
Appellation: Gevrey-Chambertin
Producer: Domaine Dujac
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Type: Red
Country: France
Region: Burgundy
Sub-Region: Cote de Nuit
Tasting note: Good dark red. Reserved but complex nose
offers black raspberry, smoked meat, spicecake and minerals. Dense,
serious and youthfully closed, with flavors of small wild berries and
spices. Finishes with somewhat tougher tannins than the Morey premier
crus and thus a bit more rustic today. (90pts. Stephen Tanzer)
Tasted: Mar./Apr. 2009
Score: 90
Drink: N/A
Tasting note: A wonderfully elegant, fresh and ripe nose of red berry fruit is nuanced by
Gevrey earth and obvious minerality that continues onto the rich, full and
distinctly refined flavors that display controlled power and focus on the
dense, long and serious finish. Oddly, given the character of the vintage,
this seems more masculine, indeed distinctly muscular, than normal yet it
carries the additional weight with grace and harmony. (91pts. Burghound)
Tasted: Jan. 01, 2009
Score: 91
Drink: 2016+
