Tasting note: Very ripe peach, pear and apricot notes mix with toasted nut aromas that complement the rich, sweet and succulent medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate depth and serious power and cut for a villages level wine. Most impressive for what this is and recommended. (91pts. Allen Meadows, AKA “The Burghound”)
Tasted: Jul. 01, 2008
Score: 91
Drink: 2011+
Tasting note: Aromas of vanilla, hay, honey and flowers. Plump and silky; conveys less thrust today than the Desiree but there's sound ripe acidity here. Ultimately less open than the Desiree, and stonier and more powerful on the back half. In a more minerally style. (90pts. Stephen Tanzer)
Tasted: Oct. 2007
Score: 90
