Tasting note: Very rich indeed. Lighter in color than many 2000 Barbarescos, but delivers decadent meaty, earthy, ripe fruit aromas. Medium- to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a ripe, rich finish. Long in the mouth. Best after 2006. 530 cases made. (91pts. JS, Wine Spectator)

Tasting note: The 2000 Barbaresco Faset, from a vineyard next to Asili, is an attractive medium garnet with good fruit and spice on the nose, a medium weight palate with some solidity, and reveals some expressive tar and licorice notes on its firm finish.
