Tasting note: 1990 Barolo Bussia—Dark ruby. The 1990 Bussia is a compelling wine. It naturally shows more mature notes of tobacco and leather on the nose, along with soft, plum/prune fruit, with good concentration and the irresistibly opulent quality of the vintage. This is drinking extremely well today but shows no signs of fading. A great effort. 92/drink now-, 11/05 (92pts. AG, Wine Advocate)
Tasted: Nov. 2005
Score: 92
Drink: 2005
Tasting note: Herbal, peppery aromas and flavors predominate in this lean, crisply tannic wine. Finishes a little short. Maybe better after 1999. (79pts. Wine Spectator)
